From the first time in the saddle to experienced riders, it’s a memorable experience for the whole family to enjoy.
We’ve teamed up with Barton End Equestrian Centre who facilitate horse riding within the grounds – offering instruction and hacking to hotel guests, as well as spa members and diners too.
Riding is available to individuals, couples, families and groups and generally within the summer months and during school holidays. (It can potentially however, be made available on request too, subject to availability of the stables, so do feel free to call 01666 890391 for further information).
Dates for the May half-term and the Summer holidays will be confirmed shortly.
Booking a ride:
If you would like to enquire about booking a hack during your break, then please call the reception team at Calcot Manor on 01666 890391 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org and they will be delighted to check availability for you and make a provisional booking. You will then be emailed a booking form which we ask you to complete online and email back to us. We will then forward this on to the stables and once this has been seen and approved by the stables we will then be able to confirm your hack. Only at this point will your credit card be charged the full amount for the horse riding booked.
What to wear:
* You will need to wear a pair of boots with a heel. Just a small heel, so your foot can’t slide through the stirrup. A pair of rubber boots ie. wellies will be fine.
*A lightweight rain coat would also be useful.
We will provide:
*A riding helmet is a must and no one will be permitted to ride without one.
*Body protectors will also be provided for your safety and we strongly advise you to wear one. If you choose not to, then this is at your own risk.
(The above items are provided on a complimentary basis but should you prefer to wear your own hat and/or body protector you are very welcome to do so).
We do ask you to leave any valuables in your room in the safe provided and not bring them with you on the ride.
