Barnsley House

Barnsley House is a stunning grade 2*listed house built in 1697, four miles north-east of Cirencester. It was home to the acclaimed gardener, Rosemary Verey, who over 40 years, created what remains a world-renowned example of the perfect English Country Garden, before becoming a hotel in 2003 and Calcot was delighted to acquire the beautiful property in July 2009.

A charming, eclectic mixture of features and styles, the garden includes well known highlights such as the laburnam walk, temple with its pool, the knot garden and the potager.

The hotel has 18 individually-designed bedrooms, a superb restaurant and a Spa with six treatment rooms, steam room, sauna, relaxation room and a hydrotherapy pool.
